Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Bramble

These terms govern your use of Bramble. By signing in or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Bramble.

1. The service

Bramble is a private shared space — calendar, chat, and photos — for you and the people you invite into a "bramble" (a small group, typically a family or close friends). The service is provided as-is. We may update features, fix bugs, and refine the experience over time.

2. Your account

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the messages, events, photos, voice notes, and other content you create in Bramble ("Your Content"). By posting it you grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and display it to the other members of the bramble you posted it in — that's the only way the app can do its job.

You're responsible for Your Content. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Bramble to:

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You can report any message from inside the app (long-press the message, then choose Report) or by emailing bramblecustomerservice@gmail.com, and you can block any member so their content no longer appears for you. We review reports and act on them — including removing content and ejecting users who post objectionable material or behave abusively — within 24 hours. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, and severe violations may be reported to law enforcement.

5. Brambles and members

6. Privacy

Our handling of your personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

7. Notifications

If you enable browser or push notifications, you consent to receiving them about activity in your brambles. You can disable notifications globally or per-bramble in Settings → Notifications at any time.

8. Termination

9. Disclaimers

Bramble is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data won't be lost. We strongly recommend keeping your own backups of anything important — the "Download my data" feature in Settings is provided for this purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bramble and its operators won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Total aggregate liability for any claim related to the service won't exceed the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months — which, for a free service, is zero.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the "last updated" date below and surface a notice in the app the next time you open it. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts of San Francisco County, California, except as required by your local consumer protection laws.
